  • My most annoying windows error was one that was not displayed but rather felt, as for some reason (I believe I solved it) my computer (with a i5 2500 and a 1050) had an issue that persisted through installations where system interrupts was constantly eating 30-50% of my CPU……. Yeah fun times.

  • after 2 hour computing all programs hangs itself, and after restart all things runs correctly.. what is problem in my device?

  • Be very careful with VPN's these days, they aren't what they seem most of the time. Really if you think you need a VPN you should be consulting with an expert to make sure that it actually does what is intended. Don't trust VPN ad's.

  • Be careful with manually running Windows update. Microsoft in their infinite wisdom decided that manual checking your updates means you give them permission to use your system for beta testing patches and updates.

  • "Your VPN may be causing the issue" means "Windows causes tons of problems, but they are a monopoly so other apps have to live with the MS BS."

  • I can't fix this:
1073 warning, Log off, Shutdown or Restart failed at described machine because a program/process in background is still running and/or data transaction still continuing.

windows is inpatient and doesn't want to wait for processes to finish, usually my torrent client needs time to save and the windows just goes back to the login screen instead of turning off

Can i extend this waiting period somehow?

  • My most frustrating experiences with Windows (specifically 10)
My original user account couldnt load up the start menu and said “Critical Error – Your start menu isnt working we will try to fix it the next time you sign in” and the only option is Sign Out and i looked up that problem on youtube and all the videos related to that included a create another user account and delete the one with the error so i went ahead and do that
Second (everyone running Windows 10 on 4 GB ram and HDD also experience this) Ram eats up 2.4 – 3 GB ram out of 4 and with chrome open its 3 GB – 3.8 making all my ram eaten up and everything is slowing down and also if you have a HDD your disk usage is mostly at 100% even at idle and Windows 10 even once killed my HDD prob bc the disk usage is at 100% and the disk is prob getting too fragmented bc the platter is spinning way faster than it should be thats why buying a fairly budget computer with only 4 GB ram and HDD is a very bad idea especially if you will use it as your daily driver laptop id recommend at least 8 GB ram and an SSD to avoid high ram and disk usage even when you have a lot of open programs

  • There is a rare error in windows 10 that is very frustrating. The taskbar and start menu will become frozen even after restarting. Everything else works fine. I have tried many "solutions" but none of them work. My only solution was to reinstall windows.

  • My problem is that it's using 14GB of memory with only 60-ish tabs, and IDE and some office tools. If you think that's a perfectly good reason to use 14GB, on Linux it's less than half that. Maybe it's that fucking McAfee AV my job put on my laptop.
Also write permissions, probably McAfee too. Can't even install the rust toolchain on windows (but it works on WSL, because wah?)
And it crashes on shutdown, effectively making a shutdown a reboot. GJ Windows! This is definitely not McAfee tho.
And who thought a file lock in the filesystem was a good idea? Let me nuke that virus! IDGAF if this pdf is open in an editor, the editor is supposed to handle I/O errors already, which is even in YOUR documentation Microsoft, so let me remove files that are in use that I want gone. An popup is fine, just let me click "delete anyway".
And locking a parent window of a popup in the WM is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of, together with forcing the window on top if said popup is selected. So they don't let you select the error and they won't let you check what you're typing side by side in the browser to look that retarded error up.
    Just start over Microsoft.
